GDA Charity Golf Day Raises £5,000

This year’s charity golf day was a great success, and we had our best ever turnout. With the help of our advisers, financial services colleagues, and clients, we raised a grand total of £5,000. It’s a great way for us to come together, and also do something that truly makes a difference.

Each year we donate all proceeds from the day to Haven House Children’s Hospice, who do such amazing work caring for seriously ill babies and children, as well as providing essential support for their families. They sent us a lovely message which we’ve shared below:

Haven House would like to express our greatest thanks to all who attended the GDA Golf Day to support us here at Haven House Children’s Hospice. Your support means a great deal to us and allows us to continue delivering high-quality holistic care to families in the community and beyond.

Caring for a child with a serious illness comes with a host of challenges for our families. Whilst we cannot change a diagnosis at Haven House, we are committed to facilitating a space where children can experience the extraordinary in their ordinary day.

“We were at our lowest ebb – but because of Haven House and all the other support around us we are now planning for the future. Everyone has played a part in re-building us.” Michelle, mum to Annabelle aged 4.

Quite simply, we could not provide this vital care without the help of our community. Thank you for supporting Haven House Children’s Hospice.
